Immediately put on disposable gloves before attempting to clean up any blood spillage.
If available, use additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and eye protection.

Ensure the injured person receives appropriate medical attention.
Containment
Use disposable absorbent material (e.g., paper towels) to contain the blood spill. Avoid spreading the spill further.
Place the used absorbent material in a biohazard bag for disposal.
