Respect and Inclusion
- Treat all students, parents, fellow staff, and visitors with respect, dignity, and fairness.
- Create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Professional Behaviour
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Use respectful, courteous language with students, families, and colleagues.
Punctuality and Responsibility
- Be punctual and reliable in all duties.
- Take responsibility for your role and communicate clearly with management about any absences or issues.
Safe andSupportiveEnvironment
- Support the mental, emotional, and physical safety of all members.
- Act quickly and appropriately to report or manage risks, injuries, or concerns that arise during classes or within the facility
Communication and Confidentiality
- Maintain professional and open communication with students, parents, and teammates.
- Respect the confidentiality of all student and family information shared with the academy.
Role Modeling
- Lead by example. Demonstrate respect, accountability, and dedication to excellence.
- Encourage teamwork and a growth mindset within our community.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
- Uphold cleanliness in the facility and ensure your uniform and workspace meet SJJA’s hygiene standards.
- Encourage students and families to do the same.
No Bullying,Harassment,or Inappropriate Conduct
- SJJA has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, or inappropriate behaviour.
- This includes inappropriate comments, touching, advances, or gestures — whether toward students, families, or staff.
- Any breach will be taken seriously and investigated fully.
- Respecting boundaries, maintaining professionalism, and protecting the well-being of all individuals in our community is mandatory.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and leadership.
- Contribute to a positive and effective work environment, valuing feedback and open dialogue.
Commitment toContinuousImprovement
- Engage in ongoing training and development.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and academy initiatives.
- All staff are required to complete annual SJJA staff training. Coaches must also hold valid Working With Children Check, CPR, and First Aid certification.
Breach of Conduct
- Any serious or repeated breach of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the team.
- SJJA reserves the right to investigate all complaints or misconduct thoroughly and take appropriate action to protect the safety, integrity, and values of the academy.
